Terms of Service
The ground rules for using Vynix, written to be clear, fair and free of surprises.
Last updated: June 16, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Vynix ("Vynix", "we", "us" or "our") that governs your use of the Vynix website, dashboard, API, MCP server and browser widget (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Vynix for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Vynix does
Vynix lets you point at any element on a website, capture structured context about it (including the DOM details, console errors and failed network requests) and turn that into reports, prompts or issues that AI coding agents and your team can act on. Features, limits and integrations may change as the product evolves.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and are responsible for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service. Tell us promptly at legal@vynix.in if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights when using the Service.
- Install the widget on a site you do not own or are not authorised to manage.
- Capture personal, sensitive or confidential data from people without a lawful basis and any consent the law requires.
- Probe, scan, overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, resell or build a competing service from the non-open-source parts of the Service.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to harass, defraud or harm others.
5. Your data and content
You keep ownership of the projects, annotations and feedback you create ("Your Content"). You grant Vynix a limited licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
You are responsible for Your Content and for the sites on which you deploy the widget, including making sure you have the rights and any consents needed to capture and process data from your visitors. Vynix acts as your processor for feedback collected through your widget, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. User responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to access a website or application, capture information from it, share annotations, upload screenshots, and export data. Vynix does not verify ownership of the websites or applications you add to a project.
When you create a project you confirm that you have the right and any permission needed to capture, store and share information from that website or application, and you agree to keep that permission current for as long as the project exists.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Vynix to:
- Collect login credentials, passwords or authentication secrets.
- Collect payment-card numbers or banking information.
- Collect private customer information without a lawful basis and any consent the law requires.
- Conduct surveillance or monitor people without their knowledge.
- Capture or store information from a website or application you are not authorised to access.
8. Data ownership
All annotation content remains owned by you or your organisation. Vynix does not claim ownership of your annotations, screenshots, issue reports, comments or the prompts you export.
We process this content only to operate the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can export or delete it at any time.
9. AI providers
Vynix lets you send the context you capture to external AI coding tools such as Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, GitHub Copilot and Cursor, either through the platform or with your own API key. When you export or send content to one of these providers, that data is governed by the policies of that provider, not by Vynix.
We disclose this so the choice stays clear: you decide what to send and when, and you remain responsible for reviewing any output before you rely on it.
10. Plans and subscriptions
Vynix offers a free tier and paid plans (priced per seat). Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment partners (Razorpay and PayPal) on the cycle you choose at checkout (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the fees that apply.
You can change your plan or seat count at any time from the billing page. An upgrade and the fees shown at checkout apply from that point; a move to a smaller plan or fewer seats takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice, and changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
11. Free trials
Some plans may include a free trial where offered. Whether a trial is available, and how long it lasts, is shown at checkout and may change over time. A trial is limited to one per plan per account.
If a trial requires a payment method, your paid subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You can cancel during the trial at any time to avoid being charged.
12. Refunds and cancellation
Fees are non-refundable. Except where the law requires otherwise, Vynix does not provide refunds or prorated refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, or plan downgrades. A free trial is available before you subscribe so you can evaluate the Service first.
You can cancel future renewals at any time from the billing page. Cancellation stops the next charge and your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period; it does not create an automatic refund.
13. Third-party services
The Service connects with third parties such as GitHub and our payment partners. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Vynix is not responsible for them. Connecting an integration authorises Vynix to exchange the data needed to make that feature work.
14. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding and content (other than Your Content and any components we release under an open-source licence), is owned by Vynix and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. Open-source components we publish remain governed by their respective licences.
15. Service availability
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, perform maintenance, or set usage limits. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that captured context will be complete or fit for a particular purpose.
16. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vynix disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Output generated for AI agents is a convenience. You are responsible for reviewing any code, issue or change before you rely on or ship it.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vynix and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or relating to the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Vynix in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Vynix harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your deployment of the widget, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or fail to pay. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnification) will continue to apply.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
